Votes:

Hello,

I need to monitor lots devices with public IP address (from ISP) that is not permanent (device change IP address periodical). Dyndns is not options on this devices, but SNMP Trap work fine. And question is:

How to set IPv4 Address/DNS Name for device to use a IP address from Sensor - SNMP Trap Receiver in Source column?

Thanks in advice.

Dear igort,

that is not possible. The SNMP Trap data can be shown in the sensor's message tab, but not be used as address for a PRTG device object.

In principle, the device address can be changed via an API call, but the API does not allow to extract trap content of a trap receiver sensor.
