How do we write a basic console app sensor in C#?

Where can we find some sample code for writing a basic sensor in c#? We may monitor some SQL Server databases with the "Microsoft SQL v2 Sensor" and a query. Though we would prefer to write our own executable and install that in PRTG.

c#-console prtg sensor

Hello Eloos,

You can find the documentation for custom sensors on the Setup > PRTG API > Custom Sensors page of your PRTG installation. You can also find some basic examples in the directory

C:\Program Files (x86)\PRTG Network Monitor\Custom Sensors

Best regards, Felix
