Collect System Model, Serial Number and F/W Version

Accidentally "unsubscribed" from previously named topic with the following subject:

Looking for a simple way to query static information using OIDs without using the Custom String sensor. It would be great to have a window that lists specific information such as: Make, Model, Serial Number, F/W Version, etc.

I received a response to my previous topic that said:

"The System Information is a relatively new feature to PRTG. We are still working on adding more capabilities to it. At this time, any information like what you are asking about would be under the System field on that tab.

What kind of device are you using that isn't showing you the information you're looking for? "

To which I reply: I don't see a "System" Field on any tab. From the "Devices" tab, I see Overview, <graph tabs>,alarms, logs, settings, notifications, comments and History.

Is this a tab that I can add in?

firmware model serial-number

Daric,

If you give PRTG Windows or SNMP credentials, it will attempt to gather System Information, and show them on the System Information tab. This is only available at the device level.

You should see a tab called System Information at the device level that will contain all the information it can gather from the device.

For SNMP it will only collect System data.

That is the problem: i am not seeing a "System" tab on the device. I listed the tabs I see above.

Daric, you should be seeing a System Information tab.

It will be in the same line as Overview, 2-Day, 30-Day, 365-Day, etc...
