What is the difference between dependencies and master dependencies?

Votes:

In the dependencies chart I see some devices having been set up with "master" dependencies - while the dependencies I'm setting up today are not "master" dependencies.

What is the difference, and how would I change one to the other? Why would I want to and what is optimal?

Hi there,

If the master dependency goes down, basically all sensors of the device are paused except the sensor they depend on. It's a 1:n dependency. Other dependencies are 1:1 :)
