How can I monitor Hyper-v cluster virtual machine

Votes:

0

I'm trying to add a "Hyper-V virtual sensor" to my SCVMM but i keep getting - Could not create the sensor Hyper-V Virtual Machine on device and - Socket Error # 10060 Connection timed out.

Is it because my server that is a member of a seprate network then my SCVMM?

Do i need a probe on every virtual network in my cluster?

Hi Janne,

It's either a connectivity issue, since the socket is coming from the network interface, or you can try using a Hyper-V host instead of the SCVMM as parent device. The Hyper-V Virtual Machine sensor doesn't seem to be working correctly right now when using SCVMM as parent device, we're working on a fix for that.

Kind regards,

Erhard
