for school i'm doing an internship at a buildingcompany who uses camera's to keep construction site safe. but the IP adresses are different from the local adresses how do i add them ( i already added them but they keep staying red and say they can't reach the host) i already saw someone with the same question but they would get a alert when the Ip adress changes. I want to ping it so when it is down we can take action to keep everything safe.

greetings kees,

Hello kees1994,
Thank you very much for your KB-posting.

If Ping to the internal camera IP is not possible, you might want to consider using a HTTP sensor to monitor the web-interface/login-page of the security camera(s) via HTTP (assuming that the HTTP port is NATet to the internal IP of the camera(s)).

As long as the camera is on and available, the HTTP sensor will stay in UP state.

Best regards,
Sven
