Delete a sensor or monitor device

Hello,

when we delete a sensor or monitor device, how is that information erased from the databases?

Or do we need to perform some purge procedure?

Thank you.

Hey Sandro,

Thanks for your KB-posting.

Once you have deleted a sensor/device/group, PRTG will automatically delete the associated monitoring data files within the next 10 minutes (this runs in a background-task).

So, there is no need to perform any additional purge procedure afterwards.

Best regards,
Sven
