ESX Sensor link to VM

Votes:

0

We have multiple ESX in use. On the ESX we have the Hardware, Performance and Datastore Sensor in use. Additionally the sensor, if the VM is up.

In our Device-List we have also the VM as Server monitored.

Devices

  • ESX1
    • VM1 only up Sensor
    • VM2 only up Sensor
  • ESX2
    • VM3 only up Sensor
    • VM4 only up Sensor
  • VM1 recommended Sensors
  • VM2 recommended Sensors
  • VM3 recommended Sensors
  • VM4 recommended Sensors

Is is possible, to link the ESX VM Sensor to this device?

Best regards Chris

esxi vmware windows-server

Hi Chris,

If you want to monitor the VM with this sensor, you need to add it to the ESX device (i.e. a device that has the adress and proper credentials of your ESX server configured) :)
