use both public ip and private ip in same server

dear Tech team ive a question i wonder if i could use multiple ip address on my server ( public and private) what im gonna say is that i want to monitor some devices with public ip and some with a private one , can i use to NIC's on my server? if yes how can i define which nic's is the source of polling?

Hi there,

By default PRTG uses all NICs available on the server and evaluates (like any other application) which NIC has to be used to reach a certain target. So when you want to ping Google (for example), then PRTG forwards the request to the host and the host tells PRTG where the request has to go to (which route). Unfortunately, it is not possible to choose explicitly which interface has to be used for a certain sensor.
