Monitoring the content of vCentre logs

Votes:

0

Hello hello paessler, happy new year from Aspire!

I need to monitor the logs of vcentre in order to track the status of our zerto disaster replication system which feeds information into the vcentre logging. I am unable to find an out of the box sensor to do this, i am not against using scripts and custom sensors to achieve this and have experience with api and scripting for PRTG.

In the past you guys have had great advice for a starting point in PRTG projects so i was hoping you could share some of your excellent wisdom to get me going on this

kindest sam

Hi Sam,

Same to you! Maybe forwarding these logs via Syslog to a Syslog Receiver Sensor works for you? You could filter them accordingly for certain keywords and alert when any of those is coming in.
