Hi guys, We have an EMC VNX 5200 that it should be monitored by PRTG. I'm new in PRTG, I found some links but didn't suitable, please give me the best solution to monitor EMC such as disks and LUNs etc.

links that I've tested: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/70195-custom-sensor-for-emc-storage-arrays https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/26423-emc-storage-array I did steps on the links exactly but it didn't work, the screenshot of error is in the following link: https://www.photobox.co.uk/my/photo/full?photo_id=500557637336

Thank you, MSH

Dear msh8,

about the error you got, the photobox screenshot link did not work. Please notice that we don't provide technical support for custom sensors. We are able to assist regarding general integration of custom sensors, but not if the custom sensor itself does not work.

Dear msh8,

according to the screenshot, the custom sensor returns an error instead of a valid output. Said error is not caught and put into a PRTG compatible format, leading to the additional sensor message that the response is not wellformed.

Please try to manually run the custom sensor from the console in order to check why it returns an error. If you can fix that, the output should be usable for the PRTG sensor API.

Dear Arne, I checked it in PowerShell and there isn't any error, I uploaded the screenshot in the following link which you can see I put this command exactly in custom sensor parameters but still, it doesn't work.

Thanks for your cooperation, MSH

Dear msh8,

you could try to run this script manually in order to see at which point an issue arises. Or you can update PRTG to the 18.1.37 version and try to use the new Dell sensors included in that build (look for "REST Dell EMC")
