Monitoring IBM AIX

Hello, I have a project that was assigned to me and a co-worker to set up AIX monitoring of hardware with PRTG. I'm not even sure this is possible, and I don't even know what AIX is outside of it being an IBM... thing. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it even possible? If it isn't, no loss on our end. Also, is this the same as SNMP IBM System X, or is that different than AIX?

Hello Gakusei,

IBM System X devices are something different; as AIX supports SSH, most of the default SSH sensors should directly work out of the box.

Additionally, you can also create your own custom sensors if you want to monitor any additional metric.

Best regards, Felix
