SNMP QNAP Logical Disk Sensor not showing all volumes on NAS

Votes:

0

Hello,

We have a QNAP TS-463U NAS with 4 logical volumes. One is the system DataVol. The other 3 are volumes used by a Microsoft failover cluster via iSCSI (quorum plus 2 CSV's). When I attempt to add the QNAP Logical Disk Sensor, it only displays the system DataVol as a selectable volume in the setup -- the other 3 volumes are not displayed.

Any ideas what might cause this? We are using SNMP v2c.

Thanks.

Hi Gary,

Please use our SNMP Tester (https://www.paessler.com/tools/snmptester), run it on the PRTG Host (or host of the Remote Probe), and perform a "Walk" against the target device with the following OID:

1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2

Which results do you get in the Tester? Please send us the result logfile from the Tester.

Best regards.

Thanks. Here is the log file from the OID walk:

Looks like the iSCSI LUN's are listed under OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.4 (storageSystemEx), not OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2 (systemInfo).

Hi there,

We request the following OID-Tables for the QNAP-Logical Disk Sensor:

1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.16.0 VolNum
1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.17.1.1.Index Index
1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.17.1.2.Index Description
1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.17.1.3.Index FS
1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.17.1.4.Index Size
1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.17.1.5.Index Free
1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.17.1.6.Index Status

Unfortunately, the OID "1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.16.0" is empty. The Physical Disk won't work too because the OID "1.3.6.1.4.1.24681.1.2.10.0" for "HDNumber" is missing.

Why these OIDs are missing should QNAP know.

Best regards.
