Optimising sensor/PRTG settings

What settings do I need to look at in order to optimize my PRTG installation?

Considering settings like: dependencies, intervals, notifications, Auto-Discovery schedule and disabling graphs and tables for channels.

Is it also better to minimize the amount of sensors I have? I am already looking at grouping several SNMP based sensors into a single sensor with more channels using the SNMP custom advanced sensor.

I want to make sure my device templates only have to be configured once.

Hi there,

Do you currently run into any issues or are there issues you want to avoid now/in the future? Without any information it hard to tell what you need to optimize as PRTG is used differently from environment to environment and every environment has their own requirements.
