Error sending sms containing slash(/)

Votes:

0

Hello, Currently I am using PRTG version 17.4.36.3670+ and I have configured custom URL for sms notification alers. My custom URL is http://domain.com/sendsms/%smsnumber/%smstext. The URL is working fine in normal scenarios and the messages are getting delivered frequently but in the case of %smstext containing any slash(/), the SMS notification is not working whereas it works fine if I hit it through the browser. I am using UTF-8 encoding for SMS service. Please help

Are they not getting to your mobile device at all when there is a '/' in it?

Does it send when you hit the URL in the browser?

Can you please install a freeware version of the latest version and try the SMS with that one? The code you're running is fairly old.

thanks for the help. I have tried the same but it didn't work for me and yes it works fine when I hit the URL in the browser. Is there any way to encode the slash coming inside %SMSTEXT ?
