Geo maps not working even with Nokia Maps

Some of our users noticed that the geo map is not showing any content - only red question marks. I went through KB and found that we have to use Nokia Maps as the map provider. We've changed to Nokia Maps but there is still no map shown. Is there anything else where i have to look for ?

Hi there,

This version still links to the old Maps Provider as this has changed recently:
https://blog.paessler.com/geo-maps-currently-not-working-in-prtg

The Google Maps API Key should actually be free:
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/static-maps/

Hi there,

The default maps are actually the Nokia Maps. What version are you currently running of PRTG? An alternative would also be to use the "Google Maps" instead.

Hello,

many thanks for the reply but for the usage of Gmaps we need a premium API key...which we don't have :-( The version we're using is 16.3.25.6124+

Many thanks for the link, i was able to fetch a API-Key and now maps are working again. Perfect.
