Is it possible to pause a sensor or the notification for a sensor periodicly? As an example: I don't want to receive any error messages or notifactions for this sensor from 11 pm till 5 am.

Thanks in advance!

You can use maintenance schedules or use the custom PRTG scheduler for that. I won't go into details as these two things as they are already well documented in the PRTG manual and the KB.

Exactly. As pointed out by @bethouxa, schedules are exactly for that. There are two distinct ways to use them:

  1. You can use schedules to pause the monitoring of an object at certain times, for example, between 9 and 11 pm. A paused sensor will not collect monitoring data, will not change its status, and will not trigger any notifications. You can either apply the schedule to the sensor to pause only the sensor or to the device/group to pause all sensors within that device.
  2. There also the option to keep monitoring the sensors but prevent notifications from being sent. Assigning the schedule to a notification, PRTG will keep polling the device and but will not send notifications.
