DELL EMC Rest API doesn't connect - Wrong Port?

Votes:

Hello,

I'm lookign at the DELL EMC Rest API sensors for monitoring our VMAX arrays. However, it looks like they are trying to talk to the URL over the defualt HTTPS port at 443 and the Unisphere web UI is located at port 8443. I don't see any option to specify a port or url to connect to. Is there any hope for this monitor?

Dear JohnBobRob,

the PRTG sensor has no option to specify another port. One of the reason is that is is developed to monitor Dell EMC Unity All-Flash Unified Storage, not VMAX.

You could try to create your own Rest Custom templates and then use the Rest Custom sensor.

This requires knowledge of both the VMAX API, and the Rest Custom template definition.
