Report on Bandwidth Threshold Exceeded X Times Per Period?

Votes:

We have a large customer with a new requirement stating that we have to send a report to them each time their traffic exceeds (y)% threshold for (n) consecutive hours (x) times per month . This requirement came down from corporate, so individual customers must meet this requirement or they must find a new vendor.

If I have a SNMP port sensor with a "Traffic IN" channel for example, how can I configure a report that will, at a minimum, show how many times that sensor has exceeded the threshold criteria described above?

* I apologize if this has been answered before here, but I cannot seem to find the answer here anywhere.

You could create a threshold trigger that fires accordingly and then send this data to a syslog sensor within PRTG, as shown. You could also include the current value via %lastvalue in the syslog message to provide the data for the customer. You could also use the reporting feature to report upon the given timespan.
