PET123 Clarification

We are receiving a PET123 "There is no active connection for this remote IP address" error occasionally for a Site-to-site ikev1 ipsec vpn on our ASA5512. Is this condition triggered when the VPN goes down when idle?

Hi there,

Yes, this is in fact the case.

As soon as the VPN goes into IDLE or DOWN state, the actual OID which PRTG is monitoring, is disabled. So the sensor shows this "error". This can also happen when there is no traffic detected.

I hope this helps.
