Device Name From Snmp sensor data

Hi! I Have a device un PRTG. This Device has a snmp sensor, which returns device name from specific OID.

How can I change device name according snmp data?

For Example: i cnhage device settings and change its name. Snmp sensor get updated data and change device name in prtg

Hello there,
thank you for your inquiry.

This is not possible I'm afraid. There is no way to use a placeholder as device name. But it should be possible to use PRTG's REST API to first read the last message of a particular sensor and in a second step use the setobjectproperty call to modify the device's name.

You can find further details about the API on the following URL or within your PRTG's web-interface under Setup > PRTG API.
