Is it possible to assign an existing sensor to a new device?

I am trying to restructure the way we have our devices structured and move multiple existing sensors assigned to a new device. I know we can clone existing sensors to a new device, but this will lose the historical data of the sensor.

Well you could rename the devices accordingly (name and address), but otherwise no, sensors cannot be cloned including their history.
