When setting up a new users groups I see the read-only button but I also see that there is an option in allow sensors : to create sensors or to create a select set of sensors. I do not want the users group to create anything. Is there a way to have a pure read-only user group or am I just not understanding.

Hi there,
It all depends on the actual user group rights you give the user group. When the access rights of a group define the user group as only "read", then this user group is only able to read:
