Hello, we have setup slave prtg installation in cluster. Everything seems to work fine but slave installation is not showing the master node devices/sensors. On home page of the slave installation it shows sensors status (total sensors) which is from master node. Wondering if we have to add the devices again? Thanks in advancce

Hello there,

When you have a PRTG cluster running, you will see a "Cluster Probe" in the device tree. All devices that are located beneath "Cluster Probe" will also show on the failover node.

See also here more details about how a PRTG cluster works:

Kind regards,

Erhard

Hello, We are able to connect master - failover. Under cluster status : Connections are ok as state is connected.

Master is active Failover is active.

In failover we don't see any devices or status of ports like we do in Master. Thanks

Hello there,

When you log in at the failover, it will only show those devices that have been added to "Cluster Probe". If you see no devices there, then they all have been added to "Local Probe" on the master node. You can move those devices over to the "Cluster Probe", then they will show up on the failover as well. You can use "Management" tab in the device tree for example for moving them over to the cluster probe.

Kind regards,

Erhard

Hello there,

Make sure to avoid moving "Probe Device" of the local probe, otherwise, you will get this error then.

Kind regards,

Erhard

No it wont work. Under root there are 2 group. Primary install and cluster probe. In primary install there is probe group which is just parallel to cluster probe. Error is same even if we are not moving the probe of primary to cluster probe.

Right-click on a group that contains devices and sensors, select "Move | To other group", then select "Cluster Probe" as target, does this work?
