Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your KB-post.

Which scanning interval do you use in this sensor?

The scan interval on the server is 5 minutes and the sensor configuration in the Maximum Trip Time (Sec.) field 600 Seconds

Hello,

Could you please try using the sensor with the following settings:

- Increase scanning interval to 15 min

- Keep maximum trip time of 10 min

- Use connection interval of 1 min

Does that help?

I made the changes but no effect appeared, the sensor continues with the same message " Checking for Messages: Maximum Trip Time exceeded (giving up)"

Hello Daniel,

Could you please check the logs of your mail server? (not the PRTG server ;))

Are there any error messages that could give you more details?
