Removing Paessler Blog & News from Login Page in Version 18.3.43.2323

Hello!

We've recently moved forward with the decision to do away with custom branding from our PRTG instance as it becomes less and less supported in later versions of PRTG.

However, we would like to clear some of the "Clutter" from the login page.

Essentially all we want to show is the login fields, and not the "Paessler Blog/News" and the "Thank you for using PRTG" sections.

Previously I can see that this could be achieved by following the below KB

https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/52783-remove-latest-news-from-the-login-page

However these changes are not working for me currently; can you confirm if the syntax required has changed?

Thanks Andy

Hey Andrew,

the changes from this KB article are still valid.

However, as of version 17.4.35, you need to restart the PRTG Core Server service using the PRTG Administration Tool in order to re-load the changes in the CSS files.

Any instructions on how to do this for latest version 19?

I love using Prtg, but having blogs and all sorts of advertisement is counter intuitive in rolling this out as an enterprise platform for Network & Sysadmin. Keep it clean and down to the basics.
