PRTG Probe monitoring / SMS

Hello,

I have PRTG installed across 10 sites. The Core is installed in on site and the other 9 sites have remote probes. If one of the 9 sites loses internet connection is it possible to still receive alerts from a remote probe though a SMS device? I see a lot of guides about setting this up with the PRTG Core but, nothing about remote probes.

Any advice would be great!

Hello,

Thank you for your KB-post.

Kindly note that notifications can be set only on the Core Server.

For this scenario you can set a notification trigger on the "Probe Health" sensor of a Remote Probe. Once the Remote Probe is disconnected, this sensor will go into error state and that will trigger a notification.

Best regards
