Building a map

Hello,

im testing PRTG Network Monitor Freeware for our company.

Now i have 2 Questions.

1. Im trying to build a map with some nodes. But everytime, when i try to include a background picture, i get the error message, that the file must be a .JPG, PNG, .BMP or .GIF. I tried all formats (bmp, gif, jpg and png), but i get the same message all the time. The files are 800x600px and smaller then 200 KB. So size shouldnt be a problem. Who can i include these files now?

2. Monitoring Lotus.

Is there a template for monitoring Domino Server like the templates for Exchange 2003/2007?

Thx

Hello,

1. Please check for the file-extension. It might have to be capitals (so JPG instead of jpg). Please try this.

2. I'm afraid we do not have a template for Lotus Domino Servers. You could of course set up one your own from an existing device in PRTG (Right click on the device -> Create Device Template...).

Best Regards.

Hello,

I already have tried both extensions. JPG and jpg, but both are not working. It may be a problem with the freeware version?

I tried differents pics, but no one is working... Any other Ideas?

I really would like to get this fixed, so i can present it to my boss. :)

Thx

Hello,

I'm sorry, but I can't think of another reason. It's definitely not a limitation of the Freeware version. Which exact version of PRTG are you running?

Best Regards.
