Moving Sensors from device to device.

Hello!

I'm surprised to find out that i can't move sensors from one device to another, or i miss something? A know i can move device from group to group (from probe to probe), but why i can't move sensors from device to device?

Hello Vasiliy,

That's right, sensors are "tied" to the devices, the only option would be to clone a sensor from one device to another, which is basically then a copy of the sensor that's being created then on the other device.

The reason for this is that historic data from sensors is not stored separately, instead there is a "database object" per device that holds the data for all the sensors on it and it's not possible to extract the data from one sensor and move it to another device.
