PRTG Web Links to Open in PRTG Desktop App

Hello

We have recently upgraded our PRTG instance in a leap for 2 major versions (from 16 to 18).

As a result, we now have access to the PRTG Desktop App - which seems to work faster than the web interface.

However, we have setup a method of automatically logging "down" sensors into our own ticket logging system, seperate from PRTG. When these tickets are logged, the url to the sensor is included in the ticket, for easy access to save time.

What would be ideal, would be if there was some way to have the URL open into the Desktop App at the sensors page - is this possible? If not, is it planned in any future releases? Would it be feasible for us to try and find some way to script this ourselves?

Hi Andrew,

We discussed this feature internally and it would require a lot of implementation affords to get this running. For now, we decided against an implementation of Links in our notification emails pointing towards the new Desktop Client, since other tasks / improvements have a higher user demand at the very moment.

If any customer reading this reply want to see this feature as well, upvoting this post might make us reconsidering this in the future. Still, thanks for letting us know your demand!

It's not (yet) possible to achieve this either via a link or via the API. I forwarded your wish to our app development team for consideration.
