WMI Account requirements

Hi Paessler,

I know this is a bit of a hot topic as you dont own WMI. However it would be HUGELY beneficial if you could release some kind of official documentation on what access requirements around COM and WMI short of allowing domain admin access which is frankly a red line we cannot cross in certain environments. I have had success following a link from infrasight however it is hit and miss and feels like overkill.

some guidance from Paessler themselves would be great appreciated

cheers sam

Samuel,

We have a KB that covers this topic. We've tested it on Server 2012R2, and it works.

What account permissions are needed to do WMI sensors?

Let me know if this works for you.
