Ping sensor work explain.

We having hard debates about details of working "Ping" sensor. Can you explain, or share a link of meaning of sensor parameters "Downtime" and "Coverage". If Coverege equal 50% what it mean? If Downtime equal 50% what it mean? How this parameters calculated?

Dear Vasiliy,

downtime aggregates the intervals which of error status relative to the coverage. Downtime is not the same as the failed scan ratio, because downtime is the time between consecutive errors. That means, a single error scan surrounded by two successful scans is not considered downtime.

Coverage is explained here. In other words, sensor errors (red status) affect downtime, the unknown status (grey) affects coverage.
