View as XML on logs not showing filtered data.

I'm trying to export a log for a set date/time range to XML. But when I click Show xml it doesn't show the XML for the filtered data it always pulls the last 50->1000 entries.

According to the table lists documentation : Show XML

Click the XML option at the beginning of a list to download the current page in XML format. Your browser will usually show a download dialog.

I'd assume that "Current page" is the filtered results. Is this by design that it ignores the search criteria. And if so is there any API that would allow me to pull/save logs for a certain duration?

Hi there,

PRTG only stored up to 1,000 historic events on the log page. If your PRTG returns that number of 1,000 events, that's already the maximum.

Felix, thanks for your reply. Maybe I didn't properly explain my concern.

I am aware 1000 is the max. My concern is that if I filter the logs, say to a certain date range. And I click the "show xml' button. It shows the XML of the UNFILTERED results.

The filtered results show accurately. The xml of the results are unfiltered.
