Hi there,
We have several users that already use Windows Server 2019, so you should be safe to install a PRTG under W2019. The only reason why we do not list it as supported yet is that we can't assure that there are no changes to W2019 that might affect PRTG. But up until now we didn't heard any negative feedback.
Best regards.

Hi there,
Could you further describe what your "problem" is? As mentioned above, you are safe to install Windows Server 2019 together with PRTG. We will soon support it officially and will list it on your requirements page.
Best regards.

The problem is that Server 2019 is not in the list of compatible operating systems. I do not want to have any problems associated with the operating system. I also need to monitor domain controllers on Server 2019.

Hi there,
We currently do not list W2019 as supported due to the lack of tests for this OS. However this only counts for the Core Server and Remote Probes - remote systems that get monitored are not important here.
As mentioned above we will soon list it as supported - most likely in the beginning of May.
best regards.

Hi, any news concerning PRTG Core Server on Windows Server 2019? May is over and I couldn't find any changes in the system requirements ;)

We're planning to add official support with 19.x.52, after it has run stable for some time "in the wild". On our internal test systems, there were no actual issues with it. As of now, there are various updates for Windows available which seem to cause high CPU load (KB4494440, KB4495590, KB4505052, and KB4499177) when .NET or PowerShell based Sensors are used.

After upgrading to windows server 2019 (PRTG was already installed on older OS), PRTG runs in all kinds of issues, like not being able to add any SNMP sensors to monitored servers, or running custom sensors that make use of PowerShell. We tried updating the C++ Redistributable update to no avail. This is on PRTG Network Monitor 20.3.61.1649 x64
