Hello!

I need to create Notification, which will be sended if one (selected) Probe will be offline. I confused a little, because as far as i understand i need to create this Notification on Root level, but this notification will work for all Probes (and sesnors). How i can create this Notification only for one Probe?

notification offline probe

Hello Vasiliy,

thank you for the KB-Post. You would achieve such a notification by putting the trigger on the Probe Health Sensor of this very Remote Probe. The Probe Health Sensor will go into error state if the according Probe is disconnected, and so send you a notification about this.

best regards.

Yep, this working, with latency but working. Another question - i made Notification only for Down state and leave Down state, but PRTG send me notification about Unknown state after Down (for some sensors from Disconnected Probe). Can i avoid this and get only UP and DOWN?

You could try working with a specific trigger that works with the condition of the sensor being un UP state, but this would then also trigger if the sensor comes from warning for example. So, only workarounds are possible here, which will have drawbacks too.
