SSH Sensor Timeout: does it terminate the script?

Votes:

0

Hello,

I would like to know what, exactly, the SSH sensor's "timeout" setting does. For instance, if i set the timeout to 5 seconds, and the script does not complete within 5 seconds, does that simply mean that PRTG will set the sensor to a warn/error state? Or does it mean that it will terminate the running script/process?

Thanks.

linux sensor ssh ssh-script timeout

It's the former - if there's no response from the script, the Sensor will go into a timeout. The setting itself just dictates the time to wait for the script result.
