I am trying to monitor some remote users. The alert for latency, packet loss works fine. I want to create a different state on the map for the sensor when the user is not connected. Let say make the sensor orange. can i do that?

Hello there,

This can't be customized per se as you describe it. When ping fails, the sensor will turn to down status. You can somewhat delay that: In tab "Settings" of the sensor in section "Scanning Interval" there is a setting "If a Sensor Query Fails" (which is basically the case when ping gets no response) and you can set that to "Set sensor to warning for 5 intervals, then set to down". So the sensor will turn to "Warning" (yellow color) for 5 scans, but after that will turn to down status, no matter what, when ping is still failing.

Alternatively you can set in the sensor's settings that the down status will be acknowledged immediately. "Down Acknowledged" is also differently colored in a lighter red tone than "down".

Kind regards,

Erhard
