Version 7 upgrade

Hi all

I am about to upgrade from version 6.2.1.957 to the latest version. We use mainly netflow sensors.

From what I have read I will have to recreate all my sensors but will the historical data be lost or will that get moved over?

Is there an upgrade path? Losing the data is not an option so any help would be my appreciated.

Hello,

I'm afraid there is no way to get the Netflow Sensors imported from PRTG 6 to PRTG 7. The only thing we can suggest is to keep PRTG 6 and not uninstall it, while "since now" you start monitoring with PRTG 7. This way you would be able to check the old historic data if necessary by starting PRTG 6, and everything from now one is then monitored by PRTG 7 or soon PRTG 8.
