Large Installation HA limitation of 5000 sensors in cluster probe to be removed.

HA feature becomes critical as the network gets larger. The monitoring failure can have adverse effects. Therefore, limiting to 5000 sensors in a cluster probe environment is a serious limitation. Instead of cluster probe, two local probes should monitor network independently and at the same time facilitate all configuration edits at one node with replication on other nodes.

Hello Shankar,

Thanks for your input and the idea of not using a cluster probe but two separate local probes. I'm afraid that this is not how the current way of clustering works in PRTG and such changes are not likely to be integrated, since this would affect all existing clustered versions of other users as well.

We will look for ways to improve the performance especially for large installations in the future.

Kind regards,
