PRTG and different sensors states.

Hello!

Can you explain what part of PRTG make a decisions to change sensors states (Up, Down, Warning), is it Core Server? Probe transtaling only request result into database? Or Probe changing the states and core only display the result?

Hi there,

The probe is only responsible for collecting data and sending data to PRTG for processing, checking and saving. Some senors generate output which is read and interpreted by the Core. The status of a sensor however is solely changed by the Core of PRTG.
