How to monitor SOAP Webservice

I can NOT use the advanced HTTP Sensor as described here: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/66680-is-it-possible-to-test-a-wsdl-or-soap-service-with-prtg#reply-218927

The documenatiotn clearly states that no XML is allowed in the Postdata field.

What is the correct way to go?

Please follow the steps provided in the article. Please note that you also define a custom content type that describes the XML post data.
