SNMP Error (-1114)-2011 - Could not create SNMP Session

Hi All,

I added our Checkpoint Firewall appliances (3 Cluster Nodes) to my PRTG Core Server.

Node 01: 10.x.y.2 Node 02: 10.x.y.3 Node 03: 10.x.y.4

Node 01 and Node 03 are fully integrated with all kind of SNMP Sensor but when i want to add a snmp sensor to node 02 i get the following error message in prtg: Could not create SNMP Session (-1114)-2011

All Firewall Settings and SNMP Credentials are correct (same as on node 01 and node 03).

Now the confusing part: When i test the connection with the snmp-tester from the prtg server its working just fine:

----------------------- New Test ----------------------- Paessler SNMP Tester 5.2.3 Computername: TURBONPT01 Interface: 10.21.63.84 21.08.2019 12:24:07 (18 ms) : Device: 10.21.65.3 21.08.2019 12:24:07 (26 ms) : SNMP V3 21.08.2019 12:24:07 (37 ms) : Uptime 21.08.2019 12:24:08 (208 ms) : SNMP Datatype: ASN_TIMETICKS 21.08.2019 12:24:08 (219 ms) : ------- 21.08.2019 12:24:08 (234 ms) : DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = 6571140 ( 18 hours 15 minutes ) 21.08.2019 12:24:08 (283 ms) : SNMP Datatype: ASN_TIMETICKS 21.08.2019 12:24:08 (292 ms) : HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemUptime.0 = 561809556 ( 65 days ) 21.08.2019 12:24:08 (301 ms) : Done

Any ideas?

best regards, Adrian

Hello Adrian,

Thank you for your post.

This is a known issue with SNMP V3, a restart of the probe service should fix the problem.
