This article applies as of PRTG 22

Errors creating PDF report

In some cases, creating a PDF report for a very large number of sensors does not work because the report is too big and there are too many data sets for your system to process. See this article for a list of errors when creating a PDF report and possible troubleshooting solutions.

Timeout error

The error message that you get when creating a PDF report is

Error creating PDF report: […] navigate error: timed out waiting for response from chrome

In this case, try to increase the timeout value for report generation in PRTG. The default value is 3600 seconds. You can change this timeout value via the Windows registry. For detailed instructions, see How can I change the default timeout for report generation in PRTG?

Memory exhaustion error

The error message that you get when creating a PDF report is

Error creating PDF report: Memory exhausted.

In this case, the report size greatly exceeds the number of data sets that your system can process. Unfortunately, there is no other solution at the moment but to create PDF reports for a much smaller number of sensors.

Empty report

When creating a PDF report, PRTG throws no error message, but the report is empty and only shows

OK

In this case, restarting the PRTG core server system might solve the issue.
