SNMP Sensor for Oracle Databases

Votes:

0

Hi,

I have two queries. Kindly reply soon.

Q1. I would like to know "Are there any SNMP Sensors to monitor Oracle Database process and services available". If there is, provide the list and how to use them.

Q2: Is it possible to develop any custom script to monitor database process and services without providing credentials?

With thanks & regards, Arshad

Dear Arshad,

PRTG comes with an SNMP Windows Service sensor. If you run Oracle on something else, you can still employ an Oracle sensor, either the tablespace sensor, or the SQL sensor to check the availability of the database.

About the second questions, that depends on the configuration of the database. Usually it requires credentials.
