Run Exe from Remote Probe

Hello,

since i can't find anything current about this topic i decided to open a new one. Is there any progress that affects running a Exe/Batch/Script from the Remote Probe as an notification trigger?

For example: I need to restart a service on a remote probe when theres a warning or an error.

Thank you very much.

Hi Vlady,

I'm afraid I've overlooked this detail. Sorry about that.

I'm afraid triggering program notifications via the probe is not possible. This request is, however, already on our customer wish list for future implementation.

I kindly ask for your understanding!

Hi Vlady,

Thank you for your message.

Yes that's possible with an "Excute Program" Notification. Please find more information here.

Hi,

But i can't find anything on there how to run an exe oder a batch file on the remote probe itself. It only runs on the Core Server.

Hi Vlady,

> For example: I need to restart a service on a remote probe when theres a warning or an error

You can accomplish this by running the ServiceRestart notification on your core probe to restart a service on your remote probe.

The ServiceRestart notification can be downloaded here.
