How can i monitor cisco VSS members?

Votes:

0

For normal stacks there is a solution to monitor the members with their state and role: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/41133-how-can-i-get-prtg-to-recognize-cisco-switches-in-stack-that-utilize-only-1-ip-address

For VSS i couldn't find a solution and my attempts with different OIDs wasn't successfull either. Does anyone have a template or list of OIDs that can be used to monitor the state of the individual members?

Kind regards

cisco prtg snmp stack vss

Hello,

to give everyone the solution that i found working for me: I created a template for the snmptable 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.388.1.3.1 This creates for every member a sensor with the Channels "Switch ID" and "Connection operational State"

With this i got the needed informations and monitoring of the members.

Hi Fabian,

Did you already consider contacting Cisco to request whether or not there are suitable OIDs available?

Best,
Sebastian
