Monitor Aruba (HP Procurve) Temperature

Hi, I would monitor temperature on a Aruba (HP Procurve) switch.

I found the correct OIDS, but there is a problem:

SnmpWalk.exe -r:192.168.1.1 -c:"public" -os:1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.2.8.1.1.3 SnmpWalk v1.01 - Copyright (C) 2009 SnmpSoft Company [ More useful network tools on http://www.snmpsoft.com ]

OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.2.8.1.1.3.0, Type=OctetString, Value=29C OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.2.8.1.1.3.1, Type=OctetString, Value=18C OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.2.8.1.1.4.0, Type=OctetString, Value=34C OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.2.8.1.1.4.1, Type=OctetString, Value=34C OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.2.8.1.1.5.0, Type=OctetString, Value=23C OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.2.8.1.1.5.1, Type=OctetString, Value=4C

the value is not an integer, so I can't use a SNMP Custom Advanced sensor.

Any idea?

Hey dibvin,

please check this out.

Using a SNMP custom String sensor with a regular expresion, you can "extract" the numeric value(s) from the strings.
