VMware Host Performance (SOAP) - Wrong values returned by some channels

Votes:

0

Hi, we are trying to monitor disk performance on our VMware ESXi 6.7 hosts.

We configured the connection to our vCenter appliance and added some "VMware Host Performance (SOAP)" sensors.

For all of these sensors, the following channels return wrong values:

  • Datastore total ReadLatency
  • Datastore total WriteLatency
  • disk.deviceLatency
  • disk.kernelLatency

Most of the time we get a value of 0, that is not coherent with the data observed with VMware instruments (vCenter monitoring, esxtop).

Our PRTG version is "PRTG Network Monitor 20.1.56.1547 x64".

Could you please help us?

Thank you.

Hi,

Other channels are indeed reporting correct values? Like, are they updated at all? What's the patch level of the ESXi hosts?
