Measuring QoS over a RAS/pppoe connection

Votes:

I am trying to measure QoS metrics from various pppoe dial-up connections. The situation is that I have a monitoring server patched into a collection of satellite terminals and I need to measure performance characteristics of their connections. The connections can be expensive to leave up full time and connections are too unreliable to count on being online all of the time.

I think I need a pre and post script for the QoS sensor to serve as a dialer. Can I accomplish this with sensor dependency? Some sort of custom-scripted sensor that performs the dial? Or am I going about this wrong?

Thanks

Hi there,

It's not possible to add a script to an non EXE/Script Sensor. If this is needed our QoS Sensor are not possible to use. In this case, I recommend to use an EXE/Script Sensor with an own script.
