Login Monitor for Website using LDAP

Votes:

Has anyone been able to create a monitor that steps through the enter username and password process, thus verifying LDA is functioning properly?

For example, a website is available - so just availability is not enough - then the monitor would enter the name and password of a service account, and after successful authentication provides an "up" monitor state.

Conversely, if the service account name and password are entered correctly and LDAP is not functioning properly at that time, then "down" monitor state would result, thus throwing an alert.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Is it a form based authentication or basic auth you're using on that website?
